Monika Kraemer

Therapist Intern

HBA, Masters of Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy (in progress)

Monika is available through video sessions most afternoons and evenings by appointment.

Monika has extensive experience helping people who are grieving over a loved one. In the last four and half years she has specialized in losses regarding Long-term Care.

Monika is an excellent listener, compassionate regarding your situation and can help you to move through the ebbs and flows of your grief over your loss.

Monika also has extensive experience helping people with a variety of mental health struggles. Whether you are struggling with depression, hopelessness, anxiety or other mental health issues, she will help you find a way to meet you where you are in your journey with this challenge and help you find ways of positively moving forward through the difficult time.

Monika has a very person-centred approach which lends itself well to narrative therapy. She is interested in getting to know you for who you are and then working with you towards whatever goals you are trying to reach.

Monika completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts at Wilfrid Laurier Brantford and is currently completing her Masters in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Martin Luther University College.

Monika plays ice hockey regularly and loves to talk sports with anyone who wants to join in. She played competitive softball in her 30s and early 40s and now supports her teenage children in their love of both softball and hockey.

Monika has a daughter who is almost 15 years old and her son is almost 18. She also has 3 Siberian Huskies, so she understands a busy household with its ups and downs and in her particular case an extreme amount of dog hair.

Monika subscribes to the Rogerian philosophy of unconditional positive regard for the people she serves. So, if you are looking for someone to listen and walk beside you on your path of coping or healing, she is ready to meet with you.
