Mia Chen

Therapist Intern

Mia is available to see clients virtually on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Mia offers a warm, respectful, and steady presence. She works with you in a collaborative way, where your experiences, emotions, and story are heard with care and without judgment. She believes therapy can be a space where you can slow down, feel safe enough to explore difficult feelings, and begin to make sense of what you are going through at your own pace.

Mia has a relational approach to care. She is influenced by Internal Family Systems ideas, awareness of the body’s responses to stress, and expressive approaches such as reflection and creative exploration. She is especially interested in how past experiences may continue to shape your current emotions, relationships, and ways of coping. She will work at your pace and will not ask you to share more than you are ready for. Her goal is to support you in feeling safe, understood, and more connected to yourself over time.

Mia holds a Master of Museum Studies and an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies, and is currently doing her Master of Psychospiritual Studies at Knox College, University of Toronto. She cares deeply about animals and nature preservation. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, movies, music, and art-making.
