Liza Kholwadwala

Therapist Intern

Liza is a Therapist Intern offering counselling services both in-person and virtually. In-person sessions will be held at the Community Counselling London centre on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Liza offers an environment where you can be vulnerable without fear of judgment. Liza wants you to be able to trust her with the most sensitive and distressing experiences that may hold you back from being the self you want to be. She is particularly passionate about supporting young adults and those navigating the challenges related to immigration, culture shock, and cultural trauma. Her goal is to provide a warm and welcoming space where she can walk alongside you in navigating life challenges.

Her approach to counselling is based on a person-centred care to make sure you remain the expert of your own life while feeling understood and supported. Her approach uses parts of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you understand how your thoughts influence your emotions and Mindfulness-Based Therapy to stay present when life feels overwhelming.

Apart from counselling, Liza serves as an Instructor Therapist for children on the Autism Spectrum. In her free time, she likes to read and strength train at the gym.
