Kelly Hudson

Therapist Intern

Kelly sees clients virtually on Mondays, by video or phone.

Kelly has 20+ years experience providing grief counselling to individuals and families and helping them find meaningful ways to cope with the pain of loss. She has worked with people who are experiencing distress of difficult diagnoses, chronic illness, mental health challenges and the pain of life’s many losses, including perinatal loss and the stress of being a caregiver to someone who is ill.

Situations (past or current) in our lives may bring us out of balance, Kelly’s compassionate approach can help individuals engage in communication about their hopes, beliefs and values when they approach challenging times.

Kelly helps people name what brings them a sense of meaning and purpose. She supports people who have questions about faith or spirituality and believes that our spirituality is our unique “SONG: connection to sense of SELF; to OTHERS; to NATURE; and to GOD or a GREATER purpose.”

Kelly brings a presence of compassion, mindfulness and empathy in her counselling.  She believes that therapeutic counselling is “listening, holding space without judgement, emotionally connecting and communicating the incredibly healing message of “You are Not Alone.”  Brene Brown

Kelly is a Newfoundlander/Maritimer through and through, so in your sessions, you will see her with a hot cup of tea in a locally crafted pottery mug!  She has always lived by the water, either the Atlantic Ocean, the Bay of Fundy or a multitude of the rivers in Canada!
