Justin Keng

Therapist Intern

Justin is available to see clients in person on Tuesday in London. He is also available for virtual counselling sessions by video or by phone on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Justin is a warm and caring person who enjoys journeying alongside others to build a life that is meaningful and worth living. Before pursuing his Master of Psychospiritual Studies (MPS) at Knox College, Justin served as a youth mental health nurse working with adolescent youth, families, and young adults, thoughtfully helping them process through traumatic experiences, complex family dynamics, and finding a path forward even when things seem hopeless.

In his own Christian community, Justin has extensive ministry experience as a small group leader, a Sunday school teacher, and a personal mentor for youth and young adults. He has served in both multicultural and ethnic-specific ministries, understanding the lived realities of children growing up in Chinese immigrant families and how to navigate the cultural differences between parents and their children's generation. He is happy to integrate faith and spirituality into therapy sessions as requested by the client or family.

He recently completed his placement as a spiritual care student at St. Michael’s Hospital on the Medical-Surgical ICU, giving him valuable insights when coming alongside patients and families experiencing profound grief and loss. During his time with Scouts Canada, Justin served as a high ropes/climbing instructor, lifeguard, and youth leader.

Outside of sessions, Justin enjoys nature walks with his family, cooking, gardening, camping, and spending time with his cat, Rover.
