Yvonne Olsen (she/they)

Director-at-Large

Yvonne is a Teacher's Assistant at Huron University, currently pursuing a Master of

Theological Studies (MTS) with a specialization in spiritual care and chaplaincy. They

graduated from Tyndale University with a BA (Hons.) majoring in Psychology.


With 15 years of experience in crisis intervention and the Human Services sector, Yvonne has developed a strong commitment to mental health advocacy and social justice. This experience is complemented by a robust 20-year background in the nonprofit sector, where they have served on various boards contributing to sustainability, fundraising, marketing, sales, and development initiatives. In addition to professional endeavours,

Yvonne is dedicated to supporting community well-being and equity through research, education, and raising awareness for those who need it most.


In their free time, Yvonne and their family enjoy supporting various community initiatives, reading, theatre, comedy, writing, exploring nature, and traveling. An

avid animal lover, Yvonne and their family share their home and life with 4 dogs who offer great companionship and joy.

Yvonne joined the Board on October 15, 2025.
