Siobhan Doherty (she/her)

Siobhan Doherty is a senior fundraising leader with extensive experience advancing transformational philanthropic initiatives across the post-secondary and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of Principal Gifts at Western University, where she led efforts to secure major and principal gifts in support of institutional priorities spanning education, research, and community impact.

Throughout her career, Siobhan has worked closely with executive leadership, donors, and community partners to develop and implement strategies that drive meaningful and lasting impact. Her background includes fundraising, governance, strategic planning, and community engagement, with a particular strength in building relationships and aligning philanthropic investment with mission-driven outcomes.

Siobhan also brings lived experience navigating the mental health system, which has deepened her commitment to improving access to compassionate, affordable mental health supports. She is passionate about contributing to organizations that strengthen community wellbeing and ensure individuals and families can access the care and resources they need.

In her spare time, Siobhan enjoys exploring the outdoors with her two dogs, spending time with her partner, and travelling whenever she has the opportunity.
