Siobhan Doherty (she/her)

Siobhan Doherty is the Executive Director of Principal Gifts at Western University, where she leads efforts to secure transformational philanthropic support for key institutional priorities. She works closely with university leadership, donors, and community partners to advance initiatives that strengthen education, research, and community impact. Siobhan has more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit and post-secondary sectors, with a background in fundraising, governance, strategic planning, and community engagement. 

Siobhan also brings lived experience navigating the mental health system, which has deepened her commitment to improving access to compassionate, affordable mental health supports. She is passionate about contributing to organizations that strengthen community wellbeing and help ensure individuals and families can access the care and resources they need.

In her spare time, Siobhan can often be found exploring the outdoors with her two pups, spending time with one of her wonderful life partners, or travelling whenever she has the opportunity.
